I've had really bad coverage issues with SMART 3G in Bacolod and, surprisingly, in the middle of La Salle Green Hills. I've not been able to get 3G speed in these locations.
But, so far, SMART hasn't failed me in the Centennial Terminal here in Manila. At P10 for 30 minutes, it's a very good deal. (As opposed to the P100 for every hour WiFi offered by the airport.)
I'm using a Smart Buddy (prepaid) line, a SE K800i and a Mac Book Pro. You expect your internet access to be somewhat ubiquitous. You'd think that you'd have signal at least in the charging area of the waiting area where you could plug your laptop and surf hurriedly (since a 100-peso card only gives you an hour's worth of internet access).
I had to move from one end of the terminal to another just to be able to find a place where my Macbook Pro's Airport antenna could suck in the signal.
For those of who, who like me, have yet to accumulate 25,000 kms (or is it miles) to be able to get in the Mabuhay Lounge (where signal is very strong), the best place to get a WiFi signal is the gate beside the smoking lounge/restaurant (where, incidentally, you can buy the P 100pre-paid card).
Then again, you could always grab a book and forget about all the hassle of being connected on the net.
Iba talaga ang buhay na simple. I wanted to see how Ruffa would host the show.
The first episode wasn't good. Dapat nag-Filipino na lang sila. The judges have to get used to their roles... too stiff.
The second episode was better. Wilma Doesnt (tama ba?) helped make the show more natural. Walking in heels in a rice field was funny. Be a model animal bit was precious.
I recommend the show... makakalimutan mo ang problema mo. | Category: | Books | | Genre: | Religion & Spirituality | | Author: | Jan Karon |
If you need to get away from the chaos of the worldly world, this is the book for you. Fr. Tim is an Episcopalian priest who deals with change as best as he can. It reminds me of another book about an Episcopalian priest (Evensong by Gail Godwin)...
It's a nice book about believing in God... not preachy at all... not at all like the stuff we see on TV.
It's the first of a series... I'm seriously addicted to the Mitford books. Am missing two... am getting frantic.
